There is no Rostock and there never was a Rostock: at Eintracht Frankfurt, May 16, 1992 has been struck from the club chronicle. Gone, simply gone. In the Eintracht Museum there is an empty display case as placeholder, and on the statistics page a black bar covers what happened in the 2:1 defeat at Hansa Rostock.
On Matchday 38 of 1991/92 Eintracht threw away a championship that had seemed theirs. The players, officials, traveling fans and the supporters gathered for public viewing in downtown Frankfurt were left inconsolable.
